@narutouzumaki999: you play with gtraffic 1 or more? Only on freeways there may be more traffic at night but far from the day numbers@Kazius: interesting theory but I have the feeling that removedistance do not work anyway. Traffic in the back should be removed much more faster.

Queen latifah nature of a sista rarlab. The idea of these parameters is to keep traffic around the player and not at 500 m behind which is really not needed. Between spawn process of new Ai and the physical movement of unnecessary Ai vehicles, I believe the last one is more CPU consuming.

Besides I have absolutely no FPS drop with the current values most of the time (with additional memory management rules in launch options). The only places with drops is in some citites at raining time and lights on (payer+Ai).

I did some testing recently toying with the mods traffic files and noticed if I set the spawn distance to close to the despawn distance it can decrease FPS drop. I think due to increased rate of spawning and despawning of new vehicles. So anyone having FPS drops might need to go into the trafficdata.sii and increase the remove distance number to give more of a buffer.I think what happens is if you are travelling at a faster speed than the vehicles spawning in or have vehicles behind you spawning in on side streets in a city, they despawn split seconds after you spawn in because by the time they finish spawning you have already moved far enough for them to despawn and so another spawns immediately in its place. Do this for a lot of vehicles and it can cause lots of spawning and despawning to often which can cause performance losses. Thanks for all your confirmation!@Shadowcaster: good observation! The maxcount in trafficdata has nothing than a decoration in traffic data, limiting traffic of the default values to stay low.

Density is entirely decided in trafficrulesspawn.sui but cannot be more in total than maxcount. Be sure that the real number are real, the total will never reach 10.000I increased this to be sure it does not act like a hook, slowing spawn knowing that the game has some spawn issues in some places. Also I wanted to eliminate the possibility that maxcount would add a limit of Ai taken into account for spawn during the gameplay. For example I have about 1.000 cars and 500 trucks in traffic, I want them all to be counted for traffic not only 200, the value of maxcount. In theory it should not be the case but with scs's rules we cannot be 100% sure:).

Sorry Dault, but you may have other issues. 1.36 runs perfectly with my traffic mod in my average PC (a humble I7 4770 and GTX 1060) plus plenty of other packs. You can see this in any of my latest videos.you need to check the following:-that you allocate enough memory in launch options (check scs forum)-that you use a recent GPU driver-that you don't use outdated mods which may slow down your CPU-that you don't drive a demanding modded truck-that you do not run other applications in background while playing (like google chrome)In am sure you issue is one of these;).
