So I updated my old client, played a bit and I think I know why nobody can't install the game on Steam. You cannot download a complete working client from anywhere. There is a client from 2014 or so on the official website, but it's obviously outdated. When you run it, it starts patching, but a huge chunk of the updates is actually missing (not to mention the updater is a total mess), so once the patching is done you will have corrupt game files and the game will crash a lot (I guess they pulled the installer from Steam to prevent people from finding out). The only way to have a working game client is to copy it from someone who successfully applied all the patches to the game (someone who regularly played the game over the time).T3Fun doesn't seem to care about new players at all.
There is still a big playerbase (source of income) since they grabbed players from different versions that were shut down. They might update the client download eventually, but who knows when that will happen as they didn't bother to do so in 2 years.P.S. My current game client works like this, everything works until I run into a player who uses certain characters (and you can't avoid some of them in cities that have only 1 channel) or go to some newer location.
