If your post has been removed, it's probably violated a subreddit rule. I was once a VAC/VACBuilder user.

Got no experience with Articulate though.VAC got its own installer, GlovePIE comes in ZIP archive only. Extract the contents, load then run a script on the GUI and you're good to go. If you are irate with GlovePIE then just delete the files and you're done. Nothing to uninstall since nothing was installed.VAC saves its profile as an XML file. GlovePIE saves its script as PIE file. You can manually in Notepad the confidence level, the sleep interval in between each keypress in a very easy to understand PIE format which VAC otherwise does through its user-friendly GUI; the VACBuilder. For purposes of voice control/voice commands in Arma 3, I find GlovePIE's script (.pie) although of course VAC's XML can also be edited in Notepad.

Open up a VAC profile and a GlovePIE script to see what I mean.As to accuracy in speech recognition, it depends on how (often) you train your machine to better understand you. I have pleasant experience with GlovePIE's recognition despite my carabao English and crappy microphone.

So your machine should be able to hear and understand you in order for the program to function well. For some other tips, kindly check my reply at this BIStudio forum link:Go through GlovePIE's documentation-manual, experiment a bit and you'll be surprised with what its capable of doing.Videos on my / are testament to the many conveniences GlovePIE can do in Arma 3.

Sorry about the shameless plug. There's 14-day trial period for VAC and there is infinite usage time for GlovePIE so you can experiment with both programs to assess which one's you are more comfortable with.No matter which program we choose be it Articulate, VAC, or GlovePIE, the most important thing is that we all enjoy what we do with it. What is best choice for me may be worst for others. I hope that helps. Hello, thanks for that reply! Covers it pretty thoroughly!Since I made the post, I've been using Articulate (it was free, simple and designed specifically for Arma) and it's very good. The only criticisms I have (which I don't know if apply to the others or not) are:.

You can't create your own commands - for example, saying 'Take Cover' doesn't work, you've got to just say 'Cover!' , and you can't add 'Take Cover' to its list of recognised words. You have to say everything in one go - 'One, Two, Three, cover!' - so you can't say 'One, Two, Three', pause while you see who gets selected, then say 'Cover!' I'm glad you find it (Articulate) very good for your purpose. Good for you, Sir.About your first criticism, I think that is because Articulate got predefined commands that you can use. In other words, it has to match so it can do its thing.

If what you say is not on the list, it won't do you anything. GlovePIE and VAC however, let's you use your own custom commands. I find that advantageous since it would translate to commands limited only by your imagination.Saying everything in one go (like you're in a hurry doing a tongue twister?) is not advisable for someone like me who is not at all fluent / articulate in English so a pause is inevitable when I say commands.

But that does not necessarily mean sounding robotic due to exaggerated pauses. Anyway, you can always tweak the PIE script (confidence level, time) to your own personal preference. So if you indicate in your script if said('two three four assign team red',6) and assign it to the corresponding key presses, then it would only execute the command if that entire phrase was uttered. Lower the number (confidence level) and it would match even if you just say two three. Thats the purpose of adjusting the confidence level. I think script customization is more of an advantage along that aspect.Looking thru the Articulate github page, I believe the program also encourages the same ' so that your computer would better understand you. The same training GlovePIE and VAC uses to achieve accuracy in speech recognition.
