@primuscomics: MegaMod is not 'just CC', so it will most likely not be compatible with your current CC town. Cehck out the list of all the things that went into MegaMod. All those mods (CC, NMT and tons of others) should be disabled in your modlist (if you had them) when you start a town with MegaMod.About the 'please put it on Steam': Megamod is something that Kralyerg worked on so the mod is likely to remain on only.

  1. Fallout 2 Armor Mod

I'm not sure about mod size limits on Steam, but it's a huge mod indeed (expect super long loading blackscreens with it. 6 minutes on my laptop.).There's usually someone around on the CC forums / chat to help with the mod install stuff if you're not used to getting mods from another place than Steam, so the fact the mod isn't in the workshop shouldn't be an issue:)Keep in mind it's in public-beta state at the moment too. Updates to it will happen, and they might not be save-comaptible. Originally posted by:I'm technologically impaired so I can only do mods from the workshop. I guess I'll just have to check the list and see what I can get individually. So, basic instructions to get the MegaMod loaded into your Banished game (hopefully all is correct):First, it needs to be extracted (I use Free RAR Extract Frog) and the resulting.PKM file placed into your mod folder called Windata, most likely found at Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Banished/WinData.Then start Banished, go to mods and select MegaMod. Presumably, you will deselect all other mods and choose MegaMod only (Colonial Charter 1.7 alpha is already built in.) Beyond that, you'll have to experiment with load orders and compatibility.Banished will do a restart which might take quite a while (MegaMod is huge). Important: when it is all done and ready, EXIT completely and restart once more, otherwise Banished may crash later.

Then with that final restart, you should be good to go. (I quoted this from NobleRambler who posted this in comment to one of Vaypah's vids).

Here is the latest edition of the Megamod, currently at version 2.32.Some people still want to know what is included in this project. For thosewho for some reason think it is a waste of time to read the readme files,at least look at the titles of the various readme files. It's not toodifficult to figure it out then.

Or, you could check out the wiki site -falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/MIB88Megamod.Now, though, on to installation. You do not need any previous versions ofthis mod. Use only the files from this: Megamod 2.32. Just copy the filesincluded here into their respective folders. Or, even easier, delete thedata folder you have in your main Fallout 2 directory, and replace it withthe data folder found in this download. Here are a few things to keep in mind that have helped me and otherplayers run this mod smoothly:1.

DO NOT JUST ADD THIS MOD ONTO A PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE MEGAMOD. Thereis the chance that you have corrupted files or extra files that you shouldnot have, and you may get weird bugs.2. Install version of Fallout 2 that takes up the largest amount of space.3.

Make sure you do not have a patch000.dat file in your main Fallout 2directory. Either delete or rename it.4. Make sure the individual items and critters inside the proto folderare set to read-only.5. Install the game and mod to a new location. Do not use the locationyou usually use.

Pick a new folder entirely or, better yet, a differentpartition of your hard drive.6. If you are going to uninstall a Fallout 2 game, you should alsorestart your computer after doing so, before reinstalling the game againand adding the Megamod.7. If you have installed the game many times on your computer and removedit, it might be a good idea to also run a registry cleaner.8. If you are using Winrar, when you look at your proto files to see ifthey are read only, they will say read only. Don't believe them. Uncheckall the read only boxes.

Fallout 2 Armor Mod

Then, check them again.9. Look at the proto files' properties to verify they are read-only. Ikeep all necessary files on read only.

If I see a file and I don't rememberif I had intentionally modified it or not, I check this. If it is not readonly, I assume it was made by the game and then delete it.10. This mod doesn't work correctly with other mods, so don't try to addanything else or otherwise modify it unless you really know what you aredoing. Also, some people have experienced a problem with the endgame narrationsskipping. This is not a feature of the mod, but a feature of having a fastcomputer. Decrease the hardware acceleration for sound in the DirectXDiagnositics Tool to get these working correctly.Changes in this version:-Almost all of Killap's bug fixes from October 19, 2007 have been included-Children Patch (if you are using a European version) has been included(really this time)-Dr.

Fung in San Francisco will no longer kill you when you ask him toheal you-Ardenius's guards now have the correct number of hit points-Numerous dialog fixes-Kaga and his henchmen now attack at the same time-Morton brothers and their henchmen now attack at the same time-Numerous fixes to Pipboy quest entries-Immediately entering combat with the Enclave patrol at Gecko could allow theplayer to have this encounter repeatedly. This has been corrected.-The BOS Bunker, from the Alternative Life mod, is now reachable (I had mixedup two numbers, making it impossible to get there before)-Began implementing some changes to some aspects of the Lootable Armor mod. This is a process that will take a while to fully implement to my finalvision. Some enemies require that you possess a certain level of scienceand/or repair in order to retrieve armor from them. This will be mostnoticeable with Enclave guards/patrolmen.As always, post any bug reports on NMA, send them to me, or post them on thewiki.

Only real bugs are welcome, and I will do my best to correct them. However, please attempt a search of the appropriate thread before telling meabout a bug, as it may have already been addressed. And no, a search does notmean reading only the previous page in the thread. Don't bother postinganything about how you think something I have added ruins the mod or justdoesn't belong. If that is the case, then feel free to make your own mod.Comments such as 'something' needs to be added to insert location here'are vague, and worse, just pointless. And, just to clarify something: if youpost a question on the boards or send me a message and I don't answer you,it is not because I am too busy to respond. I am ignoring you because thequestion has either been asked and answered a number of times already or isaddressed in one of the readme files.MIB88.
